hi guys.
i sold my first Excavator in America.
in this case, in according with the owner i want to show to everyone the handmade building progress, from the laser parts to the final product.
i want to start with the pump.
this pump is a professional hydraulic pump made in italy,
the pressure range is 0 to 280bar but in this case we kill the pressure at 35/40bar

thanks so much guys.
the 90 percent of the excavator (excluded pump ecc ecc ecc) is made by laser cutting.
is not easy to make a project and drawing but now is more easy to built.
now i wanna talk about a slip ring.
this slip ring is custom made for my excavator, is not a cheap slip ring but i can't put on a cheap stuff for an important thing like a traks motor power.
each wire is 15A current limit and is enough for my motor power.
the diameter of the alloy case is 45mm and 35mm thick.
ciaoo PAolo

Hi Paolo
very good job!! is noticed you've spent time in the design, it is robust, functional and also spend time in showing us the construction process, with your permission i´ll take some ideas for my excavator
About your design, i think that bearings in the excavator arm are no very suitable, is better to use phosphoric sintered bronze support, can manage better the high loads
Keep it up, very good work and thanks for sharing

High loads in that machine size??? Normal bushing made out of brass is absolutely enough there!

Hi Fabian
excuse my expression and my english, i was speaking in general, i didn't know the name of this piece (bushing) we are speaking about the same thing

hello guys,
thanks for the comment.
i made the first prototype 3 years ago and is made with a bearings in the arm. now after 3 years and a lot of works everything still work perfectly.
yes, the brass is more easy but i prefere the bearings for all the movements parts.
tessen: wich solution you want copy ? :-)
