  Hitachi Zaxis 470 LCH 1:12

Hello everyone!

Im from sweden and my german suck, so i have to type this in english.

First i have to say that you guys on here make some serious fabricating, i have looked at some threads on here for hours, so many talented people on here! laola

Well, i bought the Vario/fumotec excavator for about a month ago, i bought the kit as i wanted to build it my self, learn how it works and put my own touch on it.

Its my first hydraulic model and could maybe need some help as soon as i get to that point.

Here is some pics from my build.

Thats how far i have gotten now, more to come! winker

Hi Kalle,

Welcome to a marvellous world of mini-engineering and craftsmanship!

And congratulation for the work you´ve already completed. You focus very much on details - I like this.

Where did you get this nice older gentleman who is going to operate the excavator?

Best wishes

Jürgen

Oh, I like it! Very nicely detailed and a very good looking model smile
The operator figure looks great, too - but he seems to be missing his feet?! Augenzwinkern

Thanks everyone!

The driver will be this guy, and yes hes feets are missing, i had to cut them off to fit in the red jeep in the first pic, i do regret it now! Teufel

Anyhow i found that guy on ebay, it was a James bond figure.

Hopefully i can get some more build time this coming week!

Btw, how do i quote a post on here?

Later!

The Jeep is cool, too! Is this an Axial chassis?

Thanks for the help!

The Jeep sits on a custom aluminium water cut chassis, almost 100% after the real chassis on a JK.

Well, today was a good day in the garage, i got the quick coupler done, have wired all the electronics for the tracks and swing and it works great!

Im going to order the hydraulic kit, interior and exterior scale parts at the end of this month.

Here is a few pics and vids of how it looks now...

Today i finished the plumbing, i have to re solder the 4 lower connections becuse i found a better way to solder them to get a cleaner joint, as the 4 first one i made didnt come out as good as the ones i did today, but its an easy fix before i paint them.

Here is how it looks now.

The transitions i made in the lathe.

Thanks!

Yes it was, but not to hard.

Attention: I visited a german site that had these scale reflector working vests (yellow, orange) for the operators of constructions machines but i cant remember the name or adress.

They also had warning decals for construction machines.

Anyone who know the site im talking aboutverwirrt

I got some small things done, mostly details as im waiting on the hydraulics, interior and some scale parts.

I painted the counterweight but im not all happy with the color, its a little more brighter then the baseplate, we will see if i redo it or leave it as it is.

Here is how she stands now..
