Very nice, looks really well-thought-out!
A question/comment regarding this:

I like the idea of a transparent tank.
Your minium oil level seems very low.
If the machine is at an angle with the oil level so low, the suction line will draw in air.
Of course, the level will change depending on how far you have extended the actuators.
Can you explain the hoses at the tank?
I see one clear hose on the side - suction line to the pump?
Then on top, there are two, one with a hose reaching into the oil and one without.
What are these for? One return? and one...?

hello JensR
Thanks,
regarding the tank, i know, the decal for the level is a bit wrong, in the next i will put up the minimum level sign.
normally in this year nobody had problem with the level oil.
the pump take the oil on the bottom of the tank and we don't lose the oil.
but thanks for the observation.
the clear tube is the return one, go out from a valve block, pass to the radiator and go in the tank.
the other one tube is only a exit for the air.
ciao
Paolo

Hi Paolo!
Ah, okay, that all makes sense!
if that is not actually the minimum level, then I understand why no one has had a problem
Best wishes

this project is born with a simply idea,
professional project but with easy solution, high power and not expensive.
i built it with good stuff like a premacon valve, the pump is an italian professional brand, the piston is made from a real piston manufacturer, the motor for the tracks and turn is custom my my specs.
i made my own tracks in bronze material by my project drawing.
is not fully detailed like a premacon because a lot of detail mean more money.
the excavator is full steel material and the weight is 40kg, work with 35/40bar pressure
JensR
very nice to see the details, impressive machine!

Thanks jensR
I try to be better every excavator i do.
The update is like a never ending story. Every excavator is better than the one before. The yellow was the prototype, Orange is the second and the white the last one. Now i will update some detail in the next one :-)
paolo84verona
this is the old prototype with a bruder comparation

hi guys.
today i wanna show a screenshot of my metal parts for laser cutting machine.
every pieces is developed with a lot of study
this is the 14th revision of the excavator.
every revision mean change almost 60%of the drawings.
one pieces at time.
is very very long process but i am very happy now for the final results.
i am not a big or professional builder of this kind of machine but when i make it i put part of me inside every single parts. :-D
enjoy

Hello Paulo Very Nice Work
I Am from Portugal and I Am drawing The same Komatsu Pc 700 in scale 1:14, for laser cutting.
How much is The price for The bronze track pads? And what is The width of them?
And by The way, I would like to see a vídeo of your machine moving, I might have interest in the drive motors also and The price for hidráulic pump.
Best Regards, Pedro
